Well Golf Season has officially started now I’ve had some time to practice, and play a few rounds with my Dad and Grandparents, even got to go out and celebrate Fathers Day with Dad, Pop Pop and Riley.
About 1:00 Sunday we all went over to Barre Country Club, where I am now a member, and played 18 holes, and as always we had lots of fun.

This was a good chance for me to practice since I have my 1st VT. Jr PGA event Wednesday..

We had a lot of fun, and after we finished up 18 we headed home for a cookout and it was an all around good day.
Pop Pop and Patsy came down again Tuesday to spend the night at our house since we had to get a pretty early start for my tournament in Neshobe Wednesday
Got up early Wednesday and about 7:00 AM left on our 65 or so mile down to Brandon VT. and Neshobe Country Club, we were looking forward to it since I have never seen, or played this particular course.
We got off promptly for our 9:50 AM tee time.
It was a warm day and hovered around 90° all day and this was a hilly course with quite a bit of distance between holes so it was a struggle since we are not allowed Caddy’s, so we had to walk and carry a full bag of clubs so we drank lots of Gatorade and water all day to stay hydrated.
I’m usually a little bit of a slow starter in a tournament and today was no exception, on the front 9 holes I was striking the ball pretty well but as all golfers know good ball striking does not necessarily lead to good scores.
Most of the greens were quite undulating, and not quite as fast as Barre, so it took a few holes to get adjusted to the speed and how much the ball would break, so the putts were pretty good but not quite good enough to find the hole.
My short game came around to join the rest of my game on the back 9 and I played pretty well until the 18th hole which I 3 putted for a double bogey but still finished with a 78 which was good enough to win my bracket.

I have the weekend to get ready for my 1st Boston Tour event Monday at South Shore CC.
