"NEXT ON THE TEE"
Well looks like Spring is finally here!!!
Back a few weeks ago Dad decided we (Me and Riley) both needed new sticks for the upcoming Golf season.
After a little discussion about it we ordered new clubs for Riley.
US Kids HQ'd in Georgia, seem to have it pretty well nailed down in the young golfer club department, so we ordered a new complete set from them.

Everyone was thinking it was time that I moved on to regular golf clubs now, so Dad took me to Steve Gonsalves (Gonzo’s) over near the airport in Burlington and had me fitted for some new stuff.

Steve recommended the latest offering from Taylormade, the “Rocketballz” line of clubs.
He spent quite a lot of time with me on the launch monitor getting the perfect setup which he then placed on order.

Riley’s clubs came pretty quick since they were a standard make up and so he had spent a little time in the back yard with his already.

Steve called earlier this week and said my clubs were now in as well.

So because we had the day off from school for teachers’ conferences we decided to go over pick up my clubs, do a little golf shopping, and play a few holes at “The Links” which was up and running for the summer.

Steve said he would leave a little early and meet us over at “Gonzo’s” at 11:30; to hand us the new sticks, being a little anxious and excited we arrived a little early, even after stopping and buying some new shoes.

Steve was there when we arrived.

He broke out the new clubs, put them in a new Taylormade “lite” bag along with a couple of  new “Gonzo” towel's and some Penta Balls from Taylormade.

So after thanking Steve for our new "stuff",
We left there and headed over to “Links at Lang Farm”, which also belongs to Steve.
We walked into the clubhouse made arrangements to play and without so much as even hitting one practice ball, we headed out to play 9 holes before heading home.

Here we are waitng for the 1st hole to clear.

We all played lack luster golf, but it was the first time out since fall, and 2 of us with brand new sticks, so we didn’t expect much.

My chips/wedges etc were pretty good, the long clubs and the flat stick are not there yet, although I was banging the new clubs well.

It was a beautiful day, the geese are here and have set up housekeeping.

There is still a nice coating of the “white stuff” on Mansfield but I think it will be leaving post haste.

We finished up 9 and finished pretty strong so we are now on the way to what I hope will be another sucessful season.
I Looooove my new “Rocketballz”

We also were down in  Rutland Saturday morning for a 2 day Basketball Tournament we spent the night Saturday, and headed back Sunday evening to hit the school books hard Monday

Still lots of damage left over from Irene in Pittsfield.

Farm next to Mill River where we played in the AAU tournament,
we played .500 ball there, won 2 loss 2.
We'll need to improve on that.

We're back home in Plainfield now catch ya later.

"Rocket Man"..:-)
